Typically rough environment for microwave cables are vessels, both navy and commercial. For this application Gigalink MCE and DBM-Alpen have developed together with the Royal Dutch Navy the Shipboard – range of ultra low loss microwave cables. This type of microwave cable has been designed with a protective multi-layer jacket from Kapton® and polyurethane. The Shipboard – range microwave cables are crush resistant, shock proof, have a special signal colour and can be used anywhere onboard. The Shipboard – range microwave coaxial cables cover frequencies from DC up to 26,5 GHz.
